By train to London

This morning I took the 08:08 East Midlands Trains service from Beeston to London St Pancras. The train was a class 222 Meridian. Newly refurbished, with wi-fi and plug sockets I thought it would be a comfortable ride. Sadly, there was a problem with the electrical system so I couldn't charge anything and the buffet cart had run out of decent food. To cap it all, the train started to run out of water, and we only just made it to St Pancras! We then tried to take the circle line to Bank from Kings Cross St Pancras (KCSP) but no. Circle line service suspended. This meant we, along with all the other potential circle line passengers, were forced onto a crowded Northern line where, and this was the last straw, they were not letting anyone onto the station due to a CCTV camera failure. The Northern line was packed rock solid, and when we got off at Bank there was at least another hundred waiting on the platform. Not the Underground at its best!
