RED4 withdrawn-The final journeys

Premiere Travel Wright Solar Y47 HHE
(an ex airport bus) prepares to leave Briar Gate
with the last RED4 service (The 18:51 to
Nottingham Maid Marion Way)
Yesterday at 18:51 the final journey on Premiere Travel's RED4 operated from Briar Gate to Nottingham, Maid Marion Way. There were three people on it. I travelled on the RED4 seven times yesterday, as detailed below. But first, for those of you who don't know, what was the RED4? It started off on the 14th of November 2010 as a Monday to Sunday service every twenty minutes from Nottingham to Bramcote, Stapleford and Long Eaton. Midland General introduced a competing service (Bargain Bus) and on the twenty third of January 2011 the last RED4 to Long Eatton ran. The service was then brought back on the twenty seventh of March 2011 on Sundays because Premiere forgot to cancel all of it and ran every half an hour from Nottingham to Briar Gate. This service then finished yesterday (the tenth of July 2011).

I travelled on seven RED4 journeys yesterday, including the final departures from Nottingham and Briar Gate at 18:23 and 18:51 respectively. The table below shows the route taken and the number of passengers between the points I travelled (including me!)

The table above details the seven journeys maded by me on the last day of the RED4 (Sunday the tenth of July 2010)
